Stable Body Physical Therapy, LLC is owned and operated by Michelle Correia-Jeffers PT, DPT, CERP.
Education: Michelle has her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University and is a practicing clinician in outpatient orthopedics in Beaverton, Oregon. She also is a Certified Equine Rehab Practitioner through University of Tennessee.
History: Developing Stable Body PT has been a long standing dream of hers to build this company and finally opened the LLC in summer of 2020.
Michelle grew up in Northern California competing in 3-Day Eventing, Hunter/Jumpers, and Dressage. Throughout high school and college she competed on her young OTTB mare, Frenchi, up to Training Level Eventing. After earning her Bachelors of Science from OSU in 2016, Michelle went on to achieve her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Since then, she has moved back to the west coast where she is a practicing physical therapist in the Portland metro. She is also a Certified Equine Rehab Practitioner through the Veterinary program at University of Tennessee.
When Michelle was in her Doctorate program she was amazed at how little scientific research is available for equestrian sports. She dedicated those 3 years to being on the cutting edge of research development in equestrian sports- specifically looking at concussion and injury prevalence in equestrian athletes. She has a passion for improving the science based research on this unique and high risk sport to help improve safety standards throughout the industry. She has now devoted her clinical skill-sets to supporting riders and equine athletes with performance based physical therapy and injury prevention programming.
